The Perfect Weekend

As a travel enthusiast, I've travelled to a handful of places across the country. But until the end of June this year, I was yet to experience what is called a 'Day Tour'. That was about to change when a sudden plan for a day long trip kicked in. So when the plans for the trip was made, I was looking forward to my first 'Day Tour'.

On the night of 28th June, Thursday, me along with my 4 friends started our journey towards Sitakund, Chattogram. All of us had classes that day so we were tired and spent the night mostly sleeping. We reached our destination by the dawn of the next day, Friday. Nature had prepared the perfect sceneries for us to witness, which eradicated all the tiredness of last night's journey.

                                                           Views we were greeted with

We then took a boat headed for the first stop of our trip, the Shohosrodhara waterfall. This waterfall was calm and nice so after spending some time here, we started for our second stop, the Komolodoho waterfall.

                                         Somewhere between Shohosrodhara and Komolodoho

Rain had already started when we were on our way to Komolodoho. Upon reaching there, we realized we had to trek for about 20 minutes on a high mountain trail in order to actually see the waterfall. But that trail had become bit slippery because of the rain, making it unsafe to trek at that time. But then again, if we hadn't trekked, it would mean we would have to go back without seeing the waterfall despite coming so close. So, me, adapting to my 'You only live once' personality, managed to convince 2 of them to go see the waterfall with me.

The 3 of us made our way to the waterfall and the view was worth the risk. But soon I came to regret my decision as we had to come back through the muddy, slippery and really high rocky trail of that mountain. Long story short, all of us barely made it without any severe injuries.

After this rather dangerous experience, the group decided not to repeat anything like this. Though I'd be okay with some more adrenaline rush, my opinions would no longer hold any value, so I just went along with whatever they would. After making slight changes to the original plan, we decided to watch the sunset on Patenga sea beach and head back home.

Following the plan, we reached Patenga at afternoon, enjoyed the time together and watched the sunset before finally ending the day long trip. We boarded our bus after dinner, and by the morning of 30th June, Saturday, we all had reached home.

This particular weekend holds a special place in my heart because on this weekend I got to see mountains, waterfalls and the sea. Plus I enjoyed the company of my friends. So in conclusion, to me, this will always be  'The Perfect Weekend'.
